This film was commissioned to set the tone for my organization's global missions conference. They asked that I create a piece that would illustrate the responses we feel when confronted with the horrors of our world.
I wanted to take the viewer through the many disruptions of the past 60 years, and mirror the despair we feel when bombarded with the difficult realities we see all around us. My goal was to lead the viewer through the different ways we often respond to troubling realities. We can drown out any hope in the noise of despair, but we can see that change is possible if only we look at the world outside our window.
